Day 01: Delhi
The company representatives will receive you on arrival
at the international airport in Delhi late in the night.
Transfer and check-in to your hotel.
Delhi, the capital of 8 empires has now transformed
into a metropolis, which has managed to retain its glorious
past and along with the present. It is the kaleidoscope
of the ancient, medieval and modern culture of India.
Overnight at Delhi.
Day 02 Delhi:
Breakfast at hotel. Relax for the first half of the
day at hotel. Late in the afternoon, proceed for the
tour of Old & New Delhi.
Old Delhi - A sightseeing tour of Old Delhi
includes the Raj Ghat, Jama Masjid and Red Fort.
Enjoy a cycle rickshaw ride from Jama Masjid to Chandni
Chowk.
New Delhi - A sightseeing tour of New Delhi
includes a visit to the Humayun's Tomb and Qutub Minar.
A drive along the ceremonial avenue, Rajpath past the
imposing India Gate, Parliament House, the President's
Residence would end at the Diplomatic Enclave. Overnight
at Delhi.
Day 03 Delhi - Jaipur:
By Road: 260 km/6 hr
Breakfast at hotel. Drive to Jaipur. On arrival check-in
to hotel.
Jaipur - The origins of the planned city of
Jaipur can be traced back to the 18th century during
the reign of Sawai Jai Singh II. He ascended the Amber
throne in 1699 AD and initiated the work of constructing
the city in 1727 AD. Named after the king, Jaipur was
completed in 1731 AD. Jaipur has managed to preserve
the character and history of the old city. Popularly
known as the Pink City, painted in honor of the visit
of the Prince of Wales. Jaipur is abundant with fascinating
forts, pleasing palaces, terrific temples and luxurious
gardens. Reach Jaipur and check in to hotel. Shop or
relax in the evening. Overnight in Jaipur.
Day 04 Jaipur:
Breakfast at hotel.
Proceed for excursion to Amber Fort in the outskirts
of Jaipur. Elephant ride will take you up to the fort.
Man Singh I initiated the construction of the Amber
Fort in 1592 and completed by his descendent Jai Singh
I. It is a fusion of Mughal and Hindu styles of architecture
looks aesthetically pleasing.
Proceed for sightseeing of the city of Jaipur. Visit
the City Palace, Jantar Mantar and Hawa Mahal.
Evening at leisure or explore the city. Overnight
will be at Jaipur.
Day 05 Jaipur - Agra:
By Road: 221 km/6 hr
breakfast at hotel. Proceed to Agra en-route visiting
Fatehpur Sikri.
Fatehpur Sikri - Emperor Akbar built it as his capital
city in the late 16th century. Built of red sandstone,
the fort looks like a poetry on stone. But it was abandoned
after the completion of the city due to scarcity of
water.
Also visit the Bulund Darwaza, the largest gateway
in the world.
Continue your drive to Agra and on arrival check-in
at Hotel.
Agra: Akbar started the construction of the Agra
Fort in 1565 AD, thus establishing it as his capital.
Akbar and Shah Jahan changed the entire look of the
small village of Agra by building some of the grand
edifices in the city. Today, Agra is famous the world
over for the Taj Mahal. The modern city of Agra seems
hidden in the crowd of the majestic Mughal heritage.
Overnight will be at Agra.
Day 06 Agra:
Breakfast at hotel. Proceed for sightseeing of Agra.
Visit Taj Mahal, a "symbol of eternal love", Agra
Fort and Itmad-ud-Daulla's Tomb, popularly known as
the Baby Taj.
Overnight will be at Agra.
Day 07 Agra - Jhansi - Orchha - Khajuraho
By Train
Breakfast will be at hotel. You will be transferred
to station for train to Jhansi.
Reach Jhansi and proceed to Orchha, 12 km away.
Orchha - Founded by the Bundelas by the banks of River
Betwa, it is a medieval city fringed by palaces and
temples of 16th and 17th century - which have remarkably
withstood the onslaught of time.

Visit the Fort Complex at Orchha.
Enjoy your lunch at Orchha. Continue drive to Khajuraho.
Khajuraho - Situated in the state of Madhya
Pradesh, Khajuraho is a small village named so because
of thick forest of Khajur or date trees. The Chandela
Dynasty has made a huge contribution to the mankind
by constructing eighty-five beautiful temples here.
Of all, only twenty-two are intact as the finest examples
of Indian architectural and sculptural art. The temples
of Khajuraho are listed as the World Heritage Site.
Reach Khajuraho. Transferred to hotel and relax. Evening
is free to relax or stroll. Overnight will be at Khajuraho.
Day 08 Khajuraho - Varanasi:
By Air
Breakfast will be at hotel. Proceed for a tour of
the famous temples of Khajuraho.
Transfer in time to airport for flight to Varanasi.
Upon arrival at Varanasi, you will be met and transferred
to hotel.
Varanasi - is the world's most ancient living
city. The city derived its name from the two rivers
Varuna and Asi that meets at the city. Varanasi is also
the carpet-manufacturing place of India. It was previously
known as the Kashi, which means 'the City that Illuminates'.
Visit Sarnath, 5 miles from of Varanasi for a day
excursion. It is the site where Buddha preached his
first Sermon in 590 BC. See the ruins of a once flourishing
Buddhist monastery and then visit the Museum with treasure
of Buddhist art and sculptures found at the site.
Overnight will be at Varanasi.
Day 09 Varanasi:
Early morning drive to Daswamedh Ghat. Enjoy a boat
ride on the sacred river Ganga. Walk back through the
streets along the banks of Ganga.
Breakfast at hotel.
Proceed for a half day-guided tour of Varanasi including
the Kashi Vishwanatha Temple, Gyanvapi Mosque, Banaras
Hindu University and other important monuments.
Spend night at Varanasi.
Day 10 Varanasi - Delhi:

Departure : 1440 hr
Arrival : 1600 hr
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the hotel.
Relax or finish last minute shopping. You can visit
the ghats or explore the city.
Proceed to the airport for flight to Delhi.
Reach Delhi and take connecting flight home. |
