Day 01: Delhi - The Park
On arrival at Delhi you will be welcomed by our representatives
and transferred to the luxurious Hotel 'The Park'. Rest
of the time at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 02: Agra - Howard Park Plaza
Early morning departure to Agra, the city of Taj, by
the A/c Shatabdi Express Train. Enjoy your breakfast
on board the train. On arrival, you will be transferred
to Hotel 'Howard Park Plaza'. Enjoy an afternoon sightseeing
of the Taj Mahal and the Agra Fort. Later in the day
visit the tomb of Itamad-ud- Daulah known as ' Baby
Taj'. The interiors of the Baby Taj are considered even
better than the Taj Mahal. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 03: Agra - Varanasi
After breakfast in the morning we drive to Fatehpur
Sikri, a historical town built by Akbar, the famous
Mughal emperor. Here you will visit the Bulund Darwaza,
the largest gateway in the world and the tomb of a famous
Sufi saint Shaikh Salim Chisti. Later in the day catch
an evening flight to Varanasi. Reach and proceed to
Sarnath- one of the holiest Buddhist sites in the world-
where Lord Buddha preached his first Sermon in 590 BC.
Visit the ruins of a Buddhist monastery and a Museum
which houses an excellent collection of Buddhist art
and sculptures found at the site. Overnight stay at
'Hotel Hindustan International' at Varanasi.
Day 04: Varanasi - Bodhgaya
Enjoy an early morning boat ride on the Sacred River
Ganges to see the breathtaking view of the sunrise and
rituals performed by priests and devotees. Thereafter
enjoy a half day guided city tour of Varanasi. Visit
the famous Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Gyanvapi Mosque
and Benaras Hindu University. After lunch we proceed
to Bodhgaya. Bodhgaya is regarded as the most sacred
place for the Buddhists and Hindus. The Lord Buddha
attained enlightenment here, under the Bodhi tree. Overnight
stay at Bodhgaya.
Day 05: Bodhgaya
After an early Morning breakfast enjoy a sightseeing
of Maha Bodhi Temple and the Bodhi Tree. You will also
visit the Chinese Temple. In the afternoon visit the
Niranjana Temple and the school of the destitute. Packed
lunch to be served at Bodhgaya. Overnight stay at Bodhgaya.
Day 06: Bodhgaya - Nalanda - Rajgir - Patna
Early in the morning we will proceed to the historical
towns Nalanda and Rajgir. Visit the ruins of the ancient
Nalanda University. At Rajgir, you will visit a hill-top
stupa named "Peace Pagoda" built by the Japanese. After
having your lunch at Rajgir, you will proceed to Patna.
Overnight stay at hotel 'Patna Ashoka' at Patna.
Day 07: Patna - Vaishali - Kushinagar
In the morning, we will proceed to Vaishali, where Lord
Buddha preached his last sermon. Thereafter we will
drive to Kushinagar where Lord Buddha is believed to
have breathed his last. On arrival at Kushinagar explore
the site where Buddha was cremated and visit the famous
Mahaparinirvana Temple. Overnight stay at Kushinagar.

Day 08: Kushinagar - Lumbini
After breakfast, we will proceed to Lumbini by the surface.
Lumbini is the birthplace of the Lord Buddha and considered
one of the four holiest places of Buddhism and the Mecca
of every Buddhist. Visit the Mayadevi Temple dedicated
to the mother of the Lord Buddha. Overnight stay at
Lumbini.
Day 09: Lumbini - Balrampur
In the morning we drive to Shravasti, one of the most
sacred places of Buddhism, where the Lord Buddha performed
great miracles. Visit the Buddhist ruins and stupas
in the villages of Sahet and Mahet. Overnight stay at
Balrampur at Hotel Lotus Nikko.
Day 10: Balrampur - Lucknow
In the morning we drive to Lucknow, the city of Nawabs,
known for its rich culture. On arrival check into the
hotel Park Plaza Lucknow. Later enjoy a sightseeing
tour of Lucknow. In the afternoon board the Shatabdi
Express train for Delhi at 15.45 Hrs. On arrival check
in to the Hotel 'The Park'.
Day 11: Delhi - The Park
After breakfast at hotel, enjoy a daylong sightseeing
city tour of Delhi. Visit the famous historical monuments
of Delhi such as Qutub Minar, Raj Ghat, Jama Masjid,
Red Fort, India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhawan, Humayun Tomb
to name a few. Enjoy a cycle rickshaw ride from Jama
Masjid to Chandni Chowk. Stay overnight at the Hotel.
Day 12: Delhi - The Park
Full day at leisure. You can explore the metropolis
and do a last minute shopping. Check out in the evening
at the hotel and proceed for 'The Dances of India Show'.
After dinner you will be transferred to Airport to board
a flight for your onward journey or way back home. |
